Messsrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegrams fmm their London House under date of Bth instant:—Wool: Salea continue with increasing spirit. Prices unchanged. American buyers are operating moderately. Tallow: Since our last wire, medium and inferior descriptions are 6d higher, other sorts, unchanged. Leather: Market very firm. Hides: Pricea £d lower. Basils: These are in rather better demand. Frozen meat: Since our last wire prices for beef are , lower by Jd, owing to a larger supply of chilled. . Demand for beef is only fair. Prices for light descriptions of mutton are rather dearer, other descriptions as per our last telegram. The lamb market is weak and tending downwards. New Zealand prime crossbred lamb, Canterbury light, medium quality 3&d per lb, secondary qualities and Canterbury light. medium quality 3Jd per lb, secondary qualities and Canterbury, heavy 3|d; North Island, light 3|d; other descriptions 3d to 3|d. Supplies of frozen mutton and lamb are iri excess of requirements, the discharge of vessels is delayed owing to stores being full.
