Twelve hundred of the Shah's troops »nder three Russian officers, yesterday, attacked a united force of Bakhtiari tribesmen, and other Nationalists at Badamek, twelve miles westward of Teheran. The position was shelled for two hours with four guns under cover, while 200 Persian Cossacks galloped across a plain and occupied a small hill to the north east. The Nationalist's with two mountain guns replied at intervals to the fire of the Shah's troops, and drjnped four shells on to the hill. The Cossacks subsequently retired, intending to renew operations to-day.
