Worcestershire, was resumed in fine weather, and on a good wicket. Noble and Hopkins, the not out men, continued the Australians' innings. The batsmen made'good use of their chances. Hopkins played * vigorous sound innings, lasting 50 minutes, the seventh wicket going at 351. Noble, who batted altogether eighty minutes, lost his wicket through walking out to hit Simpson-Hayward. He showed vigorous cutting and driving. Eight for 361. Cotter, after making 5, met a similar fate. Nine for 369.
