RIRORIROS.

SUCCESSFUL MEETINGS AT THE TOWN HALL. Riroriros, a party of well trained and musically talented children, from the Wellington Salvation Army Childrens' Rescue Home, whose visit to Masterton was arrang«d by Adjutant Greene, of the local Corps, appeartd in the Town Hall, yesterday afternoon and evening. The object of the visit is to create sympathetic interest in the good work being done by the Salvation Army and also to raise funds to assist the beneficent work. The Home has been established about six or seven years, and has accomplished grand work, between 50 and 60 children being at present under its control. The Town Hall was packed to overflowing last evening, when the children rendered a programme of sacred selections. They have been rmarkably well trained, and the musical talent displayed last evening was of a very high order, and the various selections were keenly appreciated by those present. Collections taken up during the evening met with a ready response on the part of the public. At the conclusion of the programme Brigadier Holdaway, who ia an eloquent speaker, addressed those present, and Adjutant Crawford also made an earnest appeal. The following programme was rendered Action songs, "Sunshine Behind the Cloud," "Climbing Up," "Come Trim Her Sails," "Open So Wide," "The Little Black Sheep," "Never Take a Step to the Rear," "The Heavenly Railroad," "Salvation's a Thing so Entrancing"; handbells selection. "He Wipes the Tear From Every Eye"; solo, | "Steal Away to Jesus," with ac- | companiment on musical mystery | boxes; recitation, "A Father's j Sacrifice."
