OBITUARY.
THE MARQUIS OF RIPON. Received July 11, 5.5 p.m. LONDON, July 11. The death is announced of the Marquis of Ripon from heart failure. The lata Marquis of Ripon was born in 1827. He was Under-Secre-tary for War from 1859 to 1861; Un-der-Secretary to India Office. 1861 to 1863; Secretary of State for War, 1863 to 1866; Secretary of State for India, 1866; GovernorGeneral of India, I*Bo to 1884; Firstt Lord of the Admiralty, 1886; Secretary lor the Colonies, 1892 to 1895.
