MASTERTON A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.

1 MEETING OF GENERAL COMMITTEE. The monthly treating of the Masterton A. and P. Association's General Committee met on Saturday afternoon, there being present:—The President (Mr D. McGregor, junr)., W, Perry, H. Morrison, J. B. Moodie D. Caselberg, O. C. Cooper, W. Cooper, J. D. Cruickshank, R. J. Dagg, Q. Donald, E. Harper, J. C. McKillop, Jas. Morris, A. J. Percy, J. P. Perry, Bland Rayner, G. Shaw, A. J. Stone-Wigg, J. Strang, G. C. Summerell, W. J. Welch. Apologies lor absence were read from Messrs T. P. Lett, C. F. Vallance and W. H. Buick.

The Canterbury A. and P. Association wrote to state that their annual Show dates this year would be November 10th, 11th and 12th. The Finance Committee met in the morning, Mr G C. Summerell presiding. The Secretary submitted an unaudited balance-sheet showing an increase in assets over 'liabilities for the past year of £I,OOO. The bal-ance-sheet was adopted, the Chairman and the President being deputed to draw up the annual report. The Committee appointed Mr W. Perry and the President to report as to the value of the Association's plant. On the motion of Mr O. Cooper it was resolved to forward prize money to the value of £l, won in 1906, to Mr G. Foreman with an explanatory letter.—The report was adopted. The Ground Committee met in the j morning, Mx D. McGregor in the chair. It was reported that the custodian at Solway had nearly completed the six-ieet fence at the rear of the grounds, and would proceed almost at once with the tree-planting. It was resolved to plant a row of spruce on the westerly side of the grounds, and pinus insignis on the inner side. The question of planting additional trees as left in the hands of Messrs McGregor, Rayner and Wm. Perry. A committee, consisting of Messrs Harper, Welch and the Chairman,

were appointed to attend to the matter of the putting down of Solway railway siding.—The Committee's report was'adopted.
