(From Our Resident Reporter). Thursday. The points prizo at the Soui.h Wairarapa Poultry Association's recert show was won by Mr. E. U. Eagle, of Belvcd-.re, with 61, the next in ord.-r hoing Mr G. Watchorn, rf ston North, with 56. A Younr Women's Bible Class has been formed here under the auspices of b't. Mark's Church. Miss Minnie White has elected secretary and treasurer, and Mr J. M. Beechey will be leader. The class will meet every Tuesday evening, and already some fifteen have enrolled as mebmers. Captain E. McKenzie occup'ied the chair at the annual meeting of the Fire Brigade last evening. The report and balance sheet were submitted, and showed that the year had been a very successful one. the mortgage on the new station being reduced by £l5O, through the means of a bazaar, and this only left £l5O remaining. Three fires had occurred during the period, the estimated loss to the insurance companies being £965. The election of officers resulted as^fo. lows:—Captain, E. McKenzie; first lieutenant, F. W. Jackson; second lieutenant, N. McKenzie; foreman, H. McKenzie; foreman in charge of the south end, H. Hutchinson; secretary and treasurer, C. Whyte; custodian, E. McKenzie; Firemen W. fI. Biillie and A". S. Judd to act a? a committee with tha officers. Loyal Heart of Oak Lodge, 1.0.0. F., M.U., me' last evening, Bro. C. J. DeLacey, N.G., presiding. P.G. Bro. W. Butler was installed N.G., and P.G. Bro.' J. Fensham V.G. for the ensuing term. Bro. E. B. Eagle, P.G., was presented with an emblem of the Order, by the G.M. elect Bro. DeLacey, and suitably acknowledged the gift. It was res' h-ed to place Bro. Eagle's name on Ihti mui board.
