Warwickshire was continued to-day at Birmingham, in dull weather. The wicket was good. Armstrong and Noble continued the Australians' innings. The batsmen opened steadily. Noble carried hims over-night score to 131 before he was dismissed by a catch by Lilley, after a faultless display of allround cricket. He batted for 105 minutes, and hit eleven 4's. The sixth wicket i'dll at 402. Hopkins sent up a skyer. Pridmore taking the catch. Seven for 446. Carkeek lost his wicket through jumping out to hit Quaife. Eight for 450. Armstrong was taken at third slip without alteration of the total. Hia score of 79 included five 4's. Whitty, the last man, was dismissed by a catch at second slip, the innings closing for 456.
