FATAL ACCIDENT.

By Telegraph—Press Association. GREYMOUTH, July 7.

A fatal accideut occurred at Blackball, this afternoon, whereby a young man, named James Meehan, thirty years of age, was killed. It appears the deceased was working at the Blackball Company's siding, blasting rocks, and was tamping a shot when it exploded, practically blowing off his head. He died shortly afterwards. The deceased was a single man, and resided with his parents at Blackball.
