LONDON MARKETS.
Dalgety and Co., Ltd,, have received the following cable messages from their London house, dated Ist inst: —Tallow— Mutton tallow is unchanged, other descriptions 3d higher. Frozen meat—The demand for New Zealand lamb is limited and market "Weaker. Beef is meeting with good demand and firm market. The market for mutton is weak with only a poor demand. Quotations are as follow New Zealand prime ox beef, fores, 3d, hinds 4£d; New Zealand prime crossbred lamb, Canterbury, heavy light 4£d; North Island, heavy, 3Jd, lighted; New Zealand prime crossbred mutton. Canterbury, heavy 2£d, light, 3§d, North Island, heavy, 2d, , light 2£d, Wool—The list of arrivals is closed, and all our wools have arrived in time. The new arrivals have amounted to 275,000 bales, Jout of wnich 135,000 bales have been forwarded direct to manufacturers at Home and abroad leaving 150,000 bales available for sale which includes 10,000 bales old stocks. The dates of our own sales are 7th. 13th, 19th and 21st July. Expect that if any change in prices takes place it will be in favour of buyers.
