METEOROLOGICAL.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 5. The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' general weather forecastsCold cloudy and wet weather probable generally, with high easterly winds north of East Cape and Kiwhia, and southerly prevailing elsewhere ; the barometer will probably rise in all parts soor. Mr W. P. Day, Brooklyn, Glad stone, reports as follows: —Thei rainfall for June was 1.28 in, the maximum fall being 37 points on the 17th, and the minimum fall 1 point on 9th and 19th. Rain fell on fourteen days. The rainfall for June 1908 was 1.50 in. The total for the six nionths ending June 30th was 1Z.53 inches, and for the corresponding period of 1908, 10.86 in. Mr J. C. Boddington reports (hat the rainfall registered at Upper Plain for the 24 hours up till 9 a.m. ; oh"S:Uttday was 83 points, and for the same period up till 9 a. m. on Monday 3 points. 1
