The Chancelbr of the Exchequer (Mr Lloyd-George) has promised to reduce the tax on petrol for doctors' cars to three half-pence per gallon, and also to consider the best* way of exempting foreign and colonial tourist cars from taxation. Asquith stated that the relation of the two Houses would be the dominant issue at the next General election. .
