LAND BALLOTS.

By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 2. Ballots were held this morning by the Commisisoner for Crown Lands, (Mr James Mackenzie) for Village Settlement blocks at Ohakune, Rangataua, and Pohinui. The results were as follow: — Ohakune, five acre blocks, six applicants, drawn by W. Ginders, Ohakune; Rangataua, two j blocks of one acre each, ten applicants, drawn by George Harris; Rangataua—Pohmiui Sec tion 46, three applicants, drawn by A. Tegner, Pohunui, who also purchasd for cash four quarter acre sections in the same block at the upset price of £l7. Pohunui section 18, three applicants, drawn by E. Holt, Featherston. There were no applications for the remaining sections.
