A CONSTABLE STABBED.

Constable Daubney, stationed at Woodhaugh, was stabbed both above and below the left ear to-night, when arresting a man named Michael Coleman on a charge of drunkenness an d using obscene language. The temporal artery was severed, and the constable lost a quantity of blood before a doctor arrived. The constable's <?on, Fred DaubH6y, arrived on the scene as his father was staggering away, and seized and held Coleman till assistance arrived.
