PACIFIC COMPANY'S OFFER.

"The Times" says the value of the Pacific Company's offer is" enhanced by New Zealand's patriotic action, and that there is good reason to anticipate tht the reductions will thoroughly justify themselves from the business standpoint. The journal hopes that the private companies will grant a similar reduction, as the transmission of news in a nutshell is fertile in creating misunderstanding.
