I RIVERS FALLING. I THE WORST PAST. BRIDGES ANE ROADS SERIOUSLY DAMAGED. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright. Received June 28, 10.10 a.m. SYDNEY, June 28. The river at Albury, after rising seventeen feet, commenced to fall. Reports from other centres show that the worst is past. The rivers are falling, though there is stilljan immense"quantity of flood waterjjcoming down.' The losses of stock are not so very serious, but great damage has been caused to bridges, roads and fencing. Vast numbers of rabbits have been drcwned. TOWNSHIPS SURROUNDED. SEA 5 OP WATER. Received June 28, 10.20 a.m. MELBOURNE, June 28. The floods have commenced to recede. At Seymour the river broke its banks and covered the flats for a distance of two miles. The Chinese gardeners suffered severely. Yarrawonga, Tallangatta, Wodonga and other places are surrounded with seas of water. Many people have removed to places of safety. The damage is chiefly confined to destruction of fencing, roads, bridges and other property.
