PALMERSTON N., June 27,

The Palmerston North Coursing Club concluded its meeting on Saturday in wet weather. The principal attraction was the finals for the Manawatu Cup, in which Mr Bulled's Respite beat Mr Dow's Marquis.

The Maiden Stakes, of 100 sovs, which had a big entry, was won by Champion Proof, presented to Mr Webb, the sculler, by ah Australian admirer, after he beat Towns. -The ex-champion sculler was given an ovation on returning with his dog to the slips.
