CANADIAN TRADE.
BRITISH IMPORTS CRUSHED. AMERICAN ENTERPRISE. LONDON, June 25. From 1869 to 1909 Canada's imports from Britain have fallen from 56 to 23J per cent., while imports from the United States have advanced from 34 to 60 per cent. An investigation has been made on behalf of the Board of Trade, and the increase is attributed to the Americans keeping in closer touch with the Canadian market.'and .their greater readiness to adapt themselves to Canada's requirements.
