AUSTRALIA'S IDEALS. COLONEL FOXTON'S MISSION. United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph Copyright. Received June 25, 10.5 a.m. MELBOURNE, June 25. It is stated that Colonel Foxton, Honorary Minister who is on his way to London to represent the Commonwealth at the Imperial Conference is | not commissioned to urge any specific views upon the Conference, but rather to deal with suggestions, at the same time preserving Australian ideals. Colonel Foxton will not be bound definitely on the question, of what form Australia's contribution to the Navy should take, but he knows that Federal Ministers prefer it should be in the shape of ships and men rather than a present or an increased subsidy The general belief is that the final result of Australia's offer will be, the establishment of a small section t of tha Imperial Navy provided by ! the Commonwealth.
