NAPIER SUPREME COURT.

At the Supreme Court Mr Justice Chapman imposed the maximum sentence of ten years on Robert Caulton of Hastings, a musician, 22 years of age. who pleaded guilty .to four charges of indecently'assaulting boys. Owen Kelly got twelve months for issuing counterfeit coins. Mary Walsh was found guilty of theft of nine £1 nntej from a man on the Hastings racecourse, and John Currie for aiding and abetting, and they were each sentenced to eightsen months' imprisonment. Paka Waata, a middle-aged Maori, was acquitted on a charge of perjury at Wairoa.
