FOOTBALL. BUSH RUGBY UNION. 1 The following team has been selected to represent the Bush Rugby Union against the Puketoi SubUnion, at Makuri. on Saturday next: —Fullback, Dungan; threequarters, Eccleton, Collins, Thompson; fiveeighth, White; half, Mexted; forwards, Swainson, Lyle, K. J. Smith, Robinson, G. Smith, J. Ryan, B. Henry, Pilkington and Westerly. Emergencies: Backs, Short, Cowan, Bain; forwards, E. Harvey, Bissett, and W. Ryan.

POSITION OF SENIOR TEAMS. Following are the positions of the various teams competing in the Bush Union's Senior competition :

The Te Ore Ore Club] has been disqualified from taking part in the Wairarapa Rugby Union's competitions owing to their not having paid the subscription due to the Union. The members of the Red Star Football Club will hold a meeting in the Y.M.C.A. Building, on Saturday evening®next, at 8 o'clock, to make arrangements for the annual social and dance.

R. Todd, who a couple of seasons ago. was the most dashing forward in Wairarapa, is reported to be playing a tip-top game tor Newton, Auckland, and he is looked upon as a certainty for the "reps." Todd was a member of the Red Star Club, Masterton, and followers of the game in the Wiairarapa will be pleased to hear that he is playing so well.

HOCKEYThe Ramblers Club will hold a practice on the Showgrounds, on Thursday afternoon. The representative Wairarapa and Wellington will take place at Carterton, to-morrow, and a eood game is anticipated. The Kiwi —Kia Toa ladies' match will take place prior to the representative contest. The W.F.C.A. juniors will play their match in the Junior Competition with Carterton, aE Carterton, before the "Rep" match to-morrow. The drag will leave Maaterton at 1 p.m.
