United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright. Received June 2, 8.35 a.m. LONDON, June 21.
A stableman's strike against their non-recognition by trainers seriously delayed the Grand Steeplechase at Auteuil, near Paris. The spectators broke the barriers, set fire to the grass, and clamoured for the return of their money. The military repressed the disturbance, during which several persons were injured. Ultimately the programme was fulfilled.
