MASQUERADING AS CONVERTS.

Elsia Sigel, whose body was found in a bunk in a Chinese lodgings in Chinatown, is considered to have been a victim of a band of depraved Chinese, who were masguerading as converts to Christianity. She took pride in her converts and visited Chinatown without suspecting danger. Scores of letters from white women were discovered in the murderer's lodgings.
The cable message on Monday reported the crime as having been committed in New York.
