THE RUSSIAN EXILE.
Dr L. A Boranotf, a prominentworker in the Russian Social movement, who has seen from the inside the working of the autocratic system of Government and has spent the greater part of his life in labouring for its abolition, will again appear in the Town Hall, Masterton, to-morrow night, and further pour tray nis experiences in Siberia, where he was incarcerated far his expressions of opinion of manhood, justice and right. A graduate m science and medicine at the Universities of St. Petersburg, Dorpat and Berlin, he speaks English with grace and fluency, and a conversation with him is of absorbing interest. Dr. Boranoi'E tells a thrilling story of tryanny and oppression in Russia. The box plan is at Miss Rive's, apd special concessions are being granted to ladies' and also to schools
WEST'S PICTURES. West's Pictures will commence a season of two nighs in the Town Hal!, Masterton, on Saturday, June 26th. The opening programme will, include several pictures of exceptional interest, chief amongst which will be the famous "Art Studies." Mr West, ic is stated, has paid £2,000 for the exclusive right to show these studies, thereby securing for his patrons something, entirely new and of special attractiveness. There is now such a great demand in other parts of the w orld for "art studies" that the aim of West's Pictures is to increase that demand by including several ot these studies in their programmes to be submitted during their Masterton season. An up-to-date and "all new" programme of other scenic and industrial subjects, together with dramatic and comic films is promised. Special attention is drawn to the prices of admisaiur..
