(From Our Kesident Reporter). Monday. Mr H. Wilson, of the Wairarapa Bacon Factory, secured two first awards for bacon at the Invercargill Show. The judge spoke very highly of the display. Mr A. McKenzie, manager of the Taratahi Tairy Factory, was the successful applicant out of 30, for the position of manager of the late T. L. Joll's Estate, Okairaua. Mr McKenzie, who has been at Clareville three years, is to be congratulated upon his appointment, which carries with it a salary of £325 per annum. Mr W. Toomath, scout-master of tlu. local patrols of Boy Scouts, has presented the troops with two silver medals for competition. One jg to be awarded for the best map of Belvedere road from High street to Hinaka creek, the best models of different things (to be stated at next s troop meeting), and a tracking test. The Wairarapa Rugy Union ha 3 decided to try an arrange a representative match to be played at Carterton at an early date against Wellington. The transfer of W.
