AUSTRALIAN MINT.
ISSUE OF SILVER COINS. Received June 21, 10 a.m. MELBOURNE, June 21. Sir John Forrest, Federal Treasurer, ha 3 completed arrangements with the Imperial Mint, whereby the Commonwealth shall issue silver coins, to be minted shortly. Under the agreement, the Imperial Treasur)' will mint between £150,000 and £160,000 worth annually The Australian profit will exceed £40,000 a year. The head of the King will appear on one side, and some easily recognised Australian design on the reverse.
