THE RUSSIAN EXILE.
Dr Boranoff, the Russian exile, will|again appear in the Town Hall, Masterton, on ' Thursday evening next. June 24th,' 1 and will further pourtray his experiences in Kussia and Siberia, for holding and expressing opinions of manhood, freedom and justice, for which he was incarcerated in dreaded Siberia. He was first arrested for being associated with the publication of literature advocating the betterment of the people, and for this was sent to Siberia, after being 'previously plunged in prison for nine years in a Russian fortress. Dr. Boranoff was subsequently arrested on "Red Sunday," and sentenced to four years in the salt mines of Siberia. His sister, who tried to render him assistance, was banished to Siberia for five years. After serving four months chained to a wheelbarrow, night and day, he managed to escape for the thud time in company with his sister, who is at present in Paris, , The box plan opened at Miss Rive's this morning.
