WELLINGTON FARMERS' MEAT COMPANY.

By Telegraph—Special to the Wairarapa Age. PAHIATUA, June 19. A successful meeting of the Wellington Farmers' Meat Compauy was held in the Commercial Hotel this afternoon. Mr J. C. Cooper presided, and there were also present:—Messrs A. Groves, Te Nui; R. D. McKenzie, Kopuaranga; F. Kummer, Mauriceville; W. Falconer, Kaituna; Clephane, R. JMcLeod and G. Payne, Maryborough; J. Bicknell, Featherston; Vff. Brown, Waitohora; H. Booth, Feilding; J. Lomax, Hamua; J. Wingate, Longburn; 0. McElroy, Halcombe; D. ;McDonald, Waitohora; Quirke, Konini; M, Caselberg and T. Hodgins, Tane. The solicitor reported that the company had been registered on June 12th.

Mr Corrigan accepted the position of chief canvasser and sub-canvassers were appointed as follows:—Messrs Riddle, Masterton; R. Perry, Feilding; J. Franklin, Weber; G. Buchanan, Waitohora; G. Inns, Castlepoint; W. Lomax, South Wairarapa. Others are to be appointed in a few davs.

The necessary form for the establishment of a banking account was signed by the chairman. Mr b. Kummer was appointed to sign cheques, the secretary to endorse cheques on behalf of the company. It was decided to procure a seal and design for the company.

A management committee, consisting of the chairman and Messrs Kummer, Hodgins, Caselberg, and Quirke, was appointed to meet fortnightly, to pass accounts for payment, and carry on the management of the" company, subject to the instructions of the directors.

The site question was discussed at considerable length, and a committee consisting of the chairman and Messrs Wingate and Booth (West Coast), Payne and Brown (East Coast), were appointed to inspect the various sites for the works, in comany with the best expert available, and report to the shareholders' statutory meeting, which will take place on September Ist.
