By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 16. R The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' general weather fcrecast:— Westerly winds, changing to the southward, and increasing strong to gale are probable generally, with cold and wet weather; the barometer will probably rise fast, and soon everywhere.
Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered for the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m. on Tuesday was 21 points.
