FORTY CHARGES OF THEFT.
SENTENCE OF SEVEN YEARS' IMPRISONMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 14. At the Auckland Supreme Court, Richard White, on forty charges of theft, was sentenced to seven years' imprisonment, the Judge stating that the sentence was made more severe because this being the first time of his capture accused could not be sentenced as an habitual criminal.
