VANDALISM AT NEWCASTLE. THIEVES INTERRUPTED. Received June 9, 10.15 a.m. NEWCASTLE, June 9. A daring act of vandalism lias been committed here. Thieves moved the 6 cwt. foundation stone of the Memorial of the coal industry, laid the previous day, and smashed the receptacle containing coins.

They were interrupted before they abstracted the money, and escaped.
