SYSTEM TO BE EXAMINED. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 8. The Government has appointed Mr J. K. War bur ton Auditor and Con-troller-General, Mr R. J. Collins, Secretary to the Treasury, Mr P. Beyes, Commissioner of Taxes, and Mr W. R. Morris, Assistant Secretary to the Post and 'lelegraph Departmnt, to examine the system of keeping accounts of the various department of the public service, with the object of determining whether it is possible 'to rearrange and simplify the procedure incidental thereto, and reduce the cost of administration and to formulate proposals for any improvement which may be deemed necessary. The committee is also to carefully consider the relative merits of the systems of "post" and "pre-audit" of accounts and report thereon.
