LONDON MARKETS.
Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having received the following cable message from their London house under date of the 3rd June: —Frozen Meat—There is a fair demand at present existing for l.mb, and the demand for multon has improved owing to the reduced prices which are being asked. The market for lamb is weak and for mutton weaker. There is a good demand for beef and prices ate firmer. Quotations art as follow:—New Zealand prime ox beef, fores, 2§d. hind", 4d; New Zealand prime crossbred lamb, Canterbury, heavy. 3|d, light, 4|d: New Zealand prime crossbred lamb. North Island, heavy, 3£d, light, 4d; New Zealand prime crossbred mutton, Canterbury, heavy, 2£d, light, 3§d; New Zealand prin.e crossbred mutton, North Island, heavy, 2d, light, 2&d. Heavy descriptions of New Zealand mutton and ewes have been sold at l|d to lj|d. : Prices for. frozen beef are dearer at the moment owing to the small supply of chilled offering. It is doubtful if prices will be maintained little longer.
