The grouping of the Powers during the recent events in South Eastern Europe showed that a strong navy was "indispensable to the political I prestige of the Empire.
Admiral von Weber's demonstration that the navy law was capable of much further expansion, and could easily be made to cover a batch e? new Invincibles, was vociferously applauded.
