THE RUSSIAN EXILE.
TO-NIGHT. To-night in the Masterton Town Hall. Dr. Boranoff, the Russian exile, will appear and deliver dramatic and sensational pourtrayals of his incarceration in Siberia, from which he escaped on three different occasions. He is a man of deep convictions, gained by experiences so terrible as hardly to be crediled by those who have always lived under our regime. He was born in St. Petersburg and spent his youth in Moscow, where he went tor his university training. After escaping from Siberia he was back in St. Petersburg on that memorable "Red Sunday" on January 29th, 1905, when such terrible carnage took place. A petition was to be presented to the Czar. Headed by 2,000 women and children, 42,000 people marched to the Winter Palace. Different bodies organised at different corners. At the Winter Palace the procession was fired on by an enormous army, with artillery, and over 900 were killed. Dr. Boranoff whb captured but escaped. The box plan is open at Miss Rives', and there is a special concession for ladies. Colleges and schools may also arrange for concessions.
