A PERILOUS ESCAPE.
FIRE IN A DRAPERY WAREHOUSE. LONDON, June 4. A fire in a drapery warehouse at Hammersmith, London, did damage to the amount of forty thousand pounds. One hundred women assistants escaped only half dressed, and eighty male assistants crossed from their bedrooms in a burning wing to a window in an opposite block by means of a single plank.
