DR. BORANOFF, THE RUSSIAN EXILE.

On Monday evening next at the Masterton Town Hall Dr. 3oranoff, the Russian exile, who has escaped three times from Siberia, where _ he was incarcerated for his political opinions, will deliver dramatic pourtrayalsof his appalling experiences of dreaded Siberia. The marks of the chains are unon his limbs and the deeply cut marks of the knouts, too. remain unobliterated by time. These are evidence of brutal torture he will carry to the grave. "Red Sunday" —January 2Sth, 1905 —a* day that will for all time stand out as furnishing one of the blackest pages in Russia's history—that was when Dr. Boranoff saw the last of the Empire of the Czar. His experiences, appalling as they have been, are by no means a solitary instance of tyranny and oppression. They are but an example of general methods, and Dr. Boranoff has suffered in company with men of distinction and with men unknown to fame. The box plan is now open at Miss Rives, and special concessions are being granted to ladies. Colleges and schools can also arrange for concessions.
