Mr Henry '.Burlr.g, of Waikanael who is now 109 yours of asje, is still hale and hearty. His children numbered 13, and ha estimates his descendants at 600. Mr W. E. Griffin, Government Valuer, in Hawkes Bay for the past eight years, is being retired. He has (states a Press 'Association telegram) done good work for the Valuation Department in that extensive district. He was formerly a stationholder at Wairoa, relinquishing pastoral pursuits in order to enter the Government service.
