(From Our Resident Reporter). Tuesday. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company's stock sale ■was held in the P.F.A. saleyards today. There was a fair yarding of tooth sheep and cattle. Sellers were, lowever, in the majority, and although every line was practically cleared, prices were easier, and in buyers' favour. Quotations:— Sheep. —Two and 4-tooth wethers, 10s 6d to lis; lambs, 5s Id to Bs, according to quality; aged ewes in lamb. 8s 6d; 2-tooth ewes 12s; culls, 2s 6d to 4s. Cattle.—Three and a-half year bullocks, 925; 2h year, 755; 18 months, 50s; store cows, 425; weaner heifers, 16s. The Hon. A. W. Hogg will represent the Ministry at Mr .Ross' social en Wednesday night, Sir Joseph Ward not being able to attend. A meeting of the Foresters' Lodge was held to-night. Bro. Yule, C.R., presided, and there was a good attendance of members. Three new .members were initiated. It was decided to challenge the Druids to a football match. The usual hours will be observed at the Pahiatua post office on the Prince of Wales' Birthday.
