DR. BARNARDO'S HOMES.

The Rev. W. J. Mayers will visit Masterton to-day, and will address meetings in the Town Hall to-night and to-morrow night. Mr Mayers is accompanied by ten trained musical boys from the Homes, who add greatly to the attractiveness of the meeting by their clever manipulation of a variety of instruments, such as handbells, bagpipes, cornet, sleigh bells, ocarinas, xylophones, mandolines, etc. All these lads were ( received into the Homes in the usual i I way, but in addition to the ordinary traniing, they have received special instruction in music from Mr H. Aaron, their instructor and accompanist, who is also one of the party. Their repertoire is a very extensive one, including over one hundred items on the various instruments. The chair will be taken by the Mayor, Mr P. L. Hoi lings.
