DOMINION FINANCE.

Received May 26, 10 a.m. SYDNEY. May 26. The half yearly report of the of New SouthJWales shows the net profit to be £186,000. A dividend of 10 per cent, is declared, and £50,000 added to the reserve.

Speaking at tne meeting of shareholders, the chairman declared that the general outlook was favourable.^ Referring to New Zealand, he said a good deal of attention had been directed of late to the Dominion, as viewed from the financial side. "There was undoubtedly some tendency to inflation," said the chairman, "but the situation' has been faced, and our advices from that centre lead to the conclusion that a general policy of care and economy was being adopted, both in public and private scatters, which, if. carried out, cannot fail to restore normal conditions."
