(From Our Resident Reporter.) . Tuesday. A very encouraging canvass was • made here to-day by Messrs D. Reid and W. Tucker on behalf of. the South Wairarapa Poultry, Pigeon and Cage Birds Association's prize list. Tfte publif generally appear to be taking a keen interest in the Show, which will take place on June -30 th, and July Ist, at Carterton. Applications for schedules have been received from all parts of the province, and it is anticipated that entries, which close on June 25th, will be a record. I regret to have to chronicle the death of Mrs Margaret Mary B'Arcy, relict'of the late Mr Thomas Charles D'Arcy, which occurred ;last evening at the residence of Mr J. D. Smith. The deceased lady was one of the early pioneers, and was much respected. For the purpose of raising funds feo repair the organ in the Methodist Church, a series of socials are to be held, the first of which will take •place to-morrow night. The Carterton Fire Brigade Dance Committee, last evening, decided to ' Isold a dance in Victoria Hall, on Thursday, June 17th.
