COST OF GOVERNMENT.
The country has never had such an extravagant Government, but no Government would care to make an admission of extravagance by knocking down what they have built up The Oamaru "Times" considers that if the Government wish to save their face they should not view with distrust the suggestion for the appointment of a Civil Service Board and Railway Commissioners.
