DEATH THROUGH FOOTBALL.
By Tel-graph—Press Association. OAMARU, May 21. At an inquest touching the death of Thomas Martin, taken suddenly ill while playing football, yesterday, and who expired in the pavilion, a verdict of death from compression and hemorrhage of the bain, caused by accident, was returned. The evidence showed that Martin had injured his head while playing a fortnight ago. The deceased belonged to Christchurch.
