YOUNG MEN'S BANQUET.
AN ENJOYABLE EVENING. A banquet, organised by the Methodist Bible Class, was held in the Schoolroom last evening, and a very enjoyable evening was spent. Representatives were present from the various kindred Bible Classes in Masterton. The Rev. Porter occupied the chair, and there wer« about 75 young men present. The following toast list was honoured:—"The King," Chairman; "The Churches," Mr C. E. Daniel —Rev W. Rame (Anglican), Mr C. 3. Tocker (Knox), Mr J. Hunter (Congregational), Mr D. Threadwell (Salvation Army), Rev. C. E. Porter (Methodist) ; "Kindred Bible Classes,"'MrE. R. Wilson—Mr W. Kemp (Anglicaa), Mr N.' Marshall (Y.M.C.A.), Mr Tocker (Knox), Mr F. Shute (Kuripuni Methodist), Messrs F. T. Redman and C. Mc- i Ewen (Congregational); "The Ladies," Mr A. Hoar—Mr S. Temple; "Methodist Bible Class" (coupled with the names of the president, Rev. C. E. Porter, and the leader, Mr E R. Wilson), Rev. H. Watson—Rev. Porter and Mr E. R. n Wilson. During the evening solos were rendered by the following:—Messrs S Ralph, Greenwocd, C Ibbetson, and T. R. Mannell. Mr Thomson gave a reading, and Mr Wilson (encored) recitations.
