WEDDING.

M'E WEN—SCOTT. A pretty wedding was celebrated at the Congregational Church, yes-r __ terday, the contracting parties being Mr Frank Victor McEwen, sixth son ±yf Mr Edward McEwen, of Masterrf"'toß, and Miss Mary Elizabeth Scott, 'third daughter o£ Mr Horatio Scott, 'of Melbourne. The marriage cereitnony was performed by the -Rev. A. Hodge. The bride, who was givena way by Mr K. Mcintosh, was attired in a bemtiful creme Empire gown, and wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms. She was attended as bridesmaids by Miss Constance G. McEwen, sister of the ■bridegroom, and Miss Kathleen", of Wellington, both of whom were attired in white muslin dresses. They wore pink hat? and carried pretty (bouquets. Mr Colin McEwen was best man, ani Mr Robert Mcintosh :groornßrnan. A large number of guests sat down to the wedding breakfast, •which was held at the residence of -the bridegroom's parents. The usual felicitous speeches were made, and good wishes extended for the future welfare of the newly married couple. A large number of valuable presents were received testifying to the popularity of Mr and Mrs McThe bridegroom's presents to bride and bridesmaids were handsome gold brooches. The bride's present to the bridegroom was a set v of gold sleeve-links. - Mr and Mrs McEwen will leave this morning for Wellington en route for Melbourne.
