' A pleasing little function on Wednesday night took place at the Masterton Gas Office., when the employees :and staff presented to Mr F. V. McEwen, who was married yesterday, with a travelling bag, as a token of esteem. Eulogistic reference was made to Mr McEwen's many qualities, and good wishes for his future welfare. Mr McEwen will leave shortly for Melbourne, where -he will take up his residence.
