A CITIZEN ARMY.

A citizen army is a democratic institution, and is maintained for defence, not for carrying war into an enemy's country. A citizen army is the best guarantee against the invasion of the country by any outside, horde, whether white, black, or yellow, remarks the Southland "News." A citizen army is the bulwark of the citizen home, of the citizen wages, of the citizen freedom, political, religious, and social, as well as the guarantor of equality of opportunity, which it is the object of true Democrary to secure for all the citizens of the State. A citizen army levied on a free country is a body of free men proud of their freedom, and unlikely to do anything against that freedom.
