FIRE AT MARTON.
SEVERAL PLACES DESTROYED. By Telegraph—Press Association. MARTON, May 19. A fire at Marton, last night, destroyed the premises of Messrs Harris and Ladley (solicitors), Harris and j Sons (land agents), the Salvation I Army Barracks, fc Mr C. E. Gibbons 1 cordial .factory, and a large stables , owned by Brice, Broad and Co. The I fire started in Messrs Harris and { Ladley's office, and aided by a strong wind quickly spread to the adjoining premises. The Brigade did splendid work, and succeeded in saving many buildings. The insurances are:—Gibbons' cordial factory, £3O on building, and stock in Alliance, and £IOO on new machinery, Liverpool, London arid Globe; Harris and Ladley, £75 on contents hi Royal; Harris and Son, £SO on their job printing plant and effects in the Norwich Union, and £l5O on building in the United Office; Brice, Boad and Company's stables were valued at £3OO, and were insured for £75 in the Commercial Union. There was no insurance on the large stock of manures, farm produce, etc.
