SEVERE EARTHQUAKE IN CANADA. SHOCK LASTS A MINUTE. fJnited Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright. Received May 17, 9.55 p.m. OTTAWA, May 17. A severe earthquake has been experienced at Winnepeg, and 500 miles west. The shock shook the patients in the hospital at Regina, capital of the province of Assmivoiar, 357 mileswest of Winnepeg-, out of bed. Articles on mantlepieces and goods in shops in the Saskatchewan province were shaken to the ground. The shock lasted a minute and caused a great panic.
